The carrying out of our everyday activities means that we spend long periods of time each day inside premises and buildings. According to the WHO, we spend between 80 and 90% of our time in closed rooms in which the air is contaminated to a greater or lesser degree, which can cause serious health problems.
Contaminants in air pipes can range from dust to leaves and mould, creating a perfect environment for the reproduction of biological pollutants, because of the closed spaces, constant temperature, humidity and dirt as nutrients.
The main parameters to be measured in a Quality Assurance Inspection (QAI) in interiors are:
Temperature and relative humidity. Thermal comfort.
Carbon dioxide. Level of ventilation.
Suspended particulate matter (PM10 gravimetric analysis and recount)
Bacteria in suspension
Fungi in suspension
Electromagnetic and electric fields
Fibres in suspension
SAHICASA develops prevention and control plans for the quality of indoor air, proposing measures against focuses of contamination and evaluating the air conditioning systems.
Certification of buildings and installations: in keeping with valid UNE REGULATIONS
Initial diagnosis of the quality of the indoor environment.
Inspection, management and corrective measures.
Determination of the emission of components that are harmful for health into the air.
Introduction of good practices into the cleaning programmes.
Location of the building
Uses, activities and distribution of the building
Installations in the building:
communication between floors
electricity and telecommunications
Warehouses and rooms for special uses
Maintenance of the building
Remodelling of the building
SAHICASA will design a periodical Control Plan which will include at least a revision and maintenance programme, cleaning and disinfection, analytical control, vector control, control of suppliers, procedures, protocols and training of workers.
The initial diagnosis will include a microbiological control which will allow the existing contamination to be evaluated and the drawing up of a report referring to the levels of pollution.
The correct hygienisation of the parts of the air conditioning/ventilation systems is also recommended (air treatment unit- ATU) as this will create significant benefits from the point of view of energy-saving
SAHICASA offers sample taking from operating theatres of all kinds to evaluate the indoor air quality and that of the surfaces.
The evaluation always takes into account current UNE regulations regarding operating theatres.
Sample taking is carried out to determine the following parameters:
Environmental and surface microbiology parameters
Physical and chemical parameters
Particles in suspension
Over time, air conditioning systems and their pipes suffer from the presence of environmental contaminants and dirtiness, such as dust, fungi, waste, organic remains, etc.
If a correct maintenance plan is not established, this can lead to problems in the functioning of the systems as well as producing diverse alterations in the health of users, possibly leading to respiratory pathologies, allergies, etc.
We apply current regulations and take the current UNE REGULATIONS as a reference, the purpose of which is to correctly value and develop working protocols that improve the hygiene of air conditioning units.
The inspection and diagnosis of the situation of the systems.
Cleaning and disinfection of pipes.
The cleanliness of air conditioning units, diffusers, coils, registers and bars.
Deodorisation (elimination of unpleasant smells).
We inform and assess about related legislation, carrying out protocols of evaluation and validation, as well as planning and designing work, with a professional, highly trained technical and commercial team.

We guarantee our environmental commitment as an essential value for our customers, by incorporating the latest technologies and research based on reducing the waste that is created in pest management and control.
We minimise the impact on the natural environment and protect beneficial species and we only act on those which, when they become a nuisance, are harmful to health and quality of life.
We reduce the waste generated to the minimum and we manage it in the best way possible, with authorised companies specialised in transporting and eliminating it.
